Monthly tanker cost

Recommended usable storage for the selected reserve is 1,800 L. Your entered tank capacity is short by 0 L.

How this works

Daily demand combines per-person use and fixed household uses. Municipal supply is deducted monthly; the remaining shortage is rounded up to whole tanker deliveries. Storage equals daily demand times reserve days.

Worked example

Five people using 100 litres each plus cleaning and garden water need about 600 litres per day. If municipal supply averages only 200 litres, the monthly gap determines tanker trips.

FAQ

What daily use should I enter?

Start with 80-120 litres per person for normal domestic use, then adjust from your own meter or delivery history.

Why are tanker trips rounded up?

A partial shortage still requires a whole delivery unless your supplier offers smaller loads.

Is the recommended tank the purchased tank size?

It is usable storage. Select a somewhat larger physical tank to allow freeboard, sediment, and unusable bottom volume.
